Oh Daycare....how I loath the.....

Let me just start by saying that I NEVER imagined I would be dealing with the drama that has gone on in the last few weeks. My poor baby has been battling an ear infection for over a month, come to find out it was a staff infection/strep infection. How lovely. At least it isn't the bad staff, apparently there is a good one?! You got me on that one.

We go for a follow up with the ENT on Monday so I am just praying it is gone by then.

It has been torture having to give her antibiotic 3 times a day. The price you pay to be a working mom I guess. So here is to a good weekend and a healthy baby!

Well last night we went to see Santa Clause for the first time & yes it was a very traumatic event. Nathalie screamed for her life, I don't even get that kind of reaction when we get her shots. She is so silly. I guess that is just part of growing up, the hysterical Santa Picture.

So today is my 4 year wedding anniversary & a lot has happened over the last couple of months! We took our first family vacation to Destin FL. It was great, but the water was dirty from a storm that passed thru. We went to the beach one day & the waterpark the next day. We shopped a lot & we ate some good food at Tommy Bahamas & Nathalie had a big time. She was cutting her top 4 teeth all at the same time, so that was a mess but she did great in the car. Poor little thing was so tired but she didn't want to miss a thing, she got big red bags under her eyes, it was really funny.....

Our internet has been down at home b/c Comcast cut the line a few months ago & taped it up with electrical tape & we just found out when AT&T came out to fix our bad connection. I will post some pictures of our trip soon.

I have been planning Nathalie's first birthday for a while now I am really looking forward to the party. So until then....

Sewing

Today I finally made my first pillow case dress for Nathalie. I am so happy to have finally learned how to make something on my sewing machine. My mom graciously gave it to me as a wedding gift in 2006, but I never learned to use it. My dad did not think that home ec would be beneficial to me so it was 4 years of math & science for me. Thankfully my husband took the class in high school & remembered how to use a sewing machine, & can you believe it, he taught me how to use it too! Who would have thought?!

I am really excited to use it so that I can make clothes for Nathalie & baby gifts for my friends! Can't wait to learn more.....maybe one day I will have an etsy shop, you just never know about me! :)
